Wazaif and benefits of Surah Ikhlas
Surah Ikhlas meaning “Sincerity” is 112 number Chapter and a very concise Surah of the Holy Quran which consists of four (04) Ayahs. This beautiful and concise Surah was revealed in Makkah. This chapter is of high significance with respect to Ima’an, as it elaborates the “Tauheed”, the oneness of Allah Subhana Wa Ta’ala. A reminder that Allah is the One, “The Indivisible”, He is the Sustainer and needed by all, He has never had any offspring nor was he born and there is none comparable to him. This actually is the translation of Surah Ikhlas.
The significance and grandeur of Surah Ikhlas can be gauged by the Sahih Hadith that the Prophet Muhammad (May Allah be pleased with him) has termed the recitation of Surah Ikhlas equivalent to one-third of the Holy Quran. That’s how much important Chapter it is.
Moreover, when a kid is able to perform the obligatory prayers, besides Surah Al-Fatiha, the first Surah taught is Surah Ikhlas for its recitation in prayers.
Surah Ikhlas contains Ism-e-Azam, the beautiful names & attributes like Al-Ahad, As-Samad, a believing Muslim must treat these beautiful names like a treasure. Constant Dhikr of Al-Ahad and As-Samad can solve our problems.

Wazaif of Surah Ikhlas:

For firm belief in the Oneness of Allah:
It is recommended to recite Surah Ikhlas in every condition, like walking, sitting, or going to sleep. Being mindful all the time to recite Surah Ikhlas. And this practice of Dhikr should be continuous till our death. This way we will get a firm belief in the Oneness (Tauheed) of Allah. If our belief is stronger than Allah will solve our problems and make this life and the hereafter easy for us.

Surah Ikhlas wazifa for protection:
Regular recitation of Surah Ikhlas along with Surah Falaq and Surah Na’as is sure way of protection against Shaitan, evil eye, or any other calamity. It is therefore recommended to recite Surah Ikhlas along with the other 2 Quls (Surah) to remain in protection of Allah (S.W.T).
Besides, Surah Ikhlas recitation along with Surah Na’as and Surah Falaq is recommended to recite and blow over child for their protection against evil eye (Nazar-e-Bad).

Increase love for Allah:
With constant recitation of Surah Ikhlas, one can increase his love for Allah (S.W.T).

As-Samad Wazifa for wealth:
As mentioned above, As-Samad mentioned in Surah Ikhlas is Ism-e-Azam. Doing dhikr of As-Samad at least 500 times a day, preferably after Fajr prayers will increase our sustenance. This is a very powerful wazifa and if done correctly and with sincerity one can see its effects.

Surah Ikhlas for protection against Jinn, Evil Eye:
Another wazifa of Surah Ikhlas for self protection, protection of home and kids is that it can be recited in the following manner every morning after Fajr prayers and at night after Ish’a Prayers. To perform this Wazifa, sit after prayers in a quiet place and recite the following:
- Recite Durood Sharif (Durood-e-Ibrahimi) 1 time.
- Recite Surah Fateha 1 time.
- Recite Ayat ul Kursi 1 time.
- Recite Surah Falaq, Surah Na’as, Surah Ikhlas. 1 time.
- Again recite Durood Sharif 1 time.
When you are done reciting the above, blow over your hands and draw a circle around yourself with your fingers, and then imagine drawing a circle around kids, your parents, your home. Then prayer to Allah (S.W.T) for protection against Jinna’at, Shaita’an, evil eye, enemies, evil people and Allah is the greatest of protectors.

Surah Ikhlas is one third of Quran
The Holy Quran comprises of mainly three subjects, 1st is the stories of the Prophets and people of the past, 2nd are rulings, the 3rd is praises and glory of Allah the Almighty. Since Surah Ikhlas is purely the praise and glory of Allah the Almighty therefore it is one third of the Quran. Reciting Surah Ikhlas once is reciting one third of the Holy Quran. If it is very difficult for us to recite Surah Ikhlas 11 times, or 100 times, or 1000 times at least we must recite it once every day.

Surah Ikhlas is a short and beautiful chapter of the Holy Quran. It is very easy to remember by heart. We must strive to teach Surah Ikhlas to our children and make them recite it every day and in prayers. The benefits of reciting Surah Ikhlas are enormous. Surah Ikhlas was loved by many companions of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (May peace and blessings be upon him). One of the companions used to love Surah Ikhlas so much that he used to recite it in every prayer. From this we can infer the significance of the powerful yet short and beautiful chapter that is Surah Ikhlas.
