8 Duas for Protection from Evil and Harm

Dua or supplication is a core practice in Islam; it allows Muslims to speak directly to Allah to seek guidance, help, pardon, or protection from any calamity, and such type of prayer is very important, for it indicates the strongest and most intimate bond between the believer and the Creator as well as the strength and tawakal of one’s Ima’an.

Seeking protection through Dua is one of the common factors in Islamic spirituality. Muslims often recite certain Duas to protect their lives against harm, evil, or misfortune. Duas can be made at any time, but many are recited in the prayers, while others are recited before retiring to bed and before taking a journey.
